Service Packages
50plus has service packages tailored for most customers including free estimates and advice, problem solving, fault finding, installation design, including:
Pay As You Go charges for smaller jobs
Pay As You Go is designed for smaller reactive repair jobs. Charges vary by area, reflecting local operating costs. Our prices can be checked here which will show the availability of all 50plus services and associated charges for your post code.
With the exception of tasks which take less than 15 minutes, which may incur a reduced fee at the discretion of the Service Provider, our minimum charge is for one hour.
There is no call out fee and no mileage charge. Larger works are usually estimated. Fault finding is a chargeable task.

Day rates are designed for larger jobs over 8 hours or more and can attract substantial discounts. As with Pay As You Go, charges vary by area, reflecting local operating costs.
Materials and parts are charged with a 20% margin if we purchase. Customers are welcome to supply their own materials and 50plus can advise on requirements.

If you need to postpone an appointment please let us know at least 24 hours in advance or on the previous Friday if the job is for a Monday.
If you do need to cancel an appointment please give us at least 24 hours notice or let us know by midday on the previous Friday if the job is for a Monday, otherwise a cancellation fee of the minimum one hour charge may be applicable.

Who provides the service
The service is provided locally by direct employees or associates. Gas engineers are Gas Safe registered. 50plus is NICEIC registered for electrical work.

Estimates
Estimates are often provided free of charge. Smaller jobs of up to a day in duration will normally be estimated over the telephone. Larger jobs may require a visit to enable an estimate to be provided. In many cases these are free but in some cases and in some areas a rebatable estimate fee may apply. This charge is rebated from the cost of the works.
50plus generally provides an estimate based on our professional judgement of the time and material required to undertake the work. With time and materials you pay for our time on an hourly basis (for each person employed on the project) and for any material we use during the course of the works.
