Most elderly people wish to remain in their own home, even when they need help to manage their day-to-day tasks. Our technology and independence services, which we term Umbrella Care, help makes this a practical proposition.
Putting in place services to enable the elderly to remain in ther own home offers large savings compared to residential / care home costs.
We bring the benefit of many years of experience with older customers and their families.
Our services include a range of practical help and easy to use modern technology.

Home repair and maintenance services have been provided by 50plus to our customers for some 20 years. A broad range of maintenance, adaption and support services is offered but more importantly we include problem solving. It means that if a customer has an issue that needs resolving there will be people on hand to get it resolved.

There are staff available to talk to via telephone at the head office but in keeping with the modern world we also offer on-line booking. There's more information here.

The technology element of the services provides a range of easy to use technological solutions to practical problems.

When installed and integrated by our experts the elderly, their families and carers have access to non-intrusive oversight of and communication with the elderly. The easy to use technology solutions also simplify and improve family and carers means of communication with the elderly.

Examples of technology services available include:

The Granny Nanny: pro-active non-intrusive monitoring of the wellbeing of an elderly person(s) in their home by remote relatives or carers with learning algorithms and automated alerts. This service is currently being updated. Contact us for more information.
The Amazon Echo (Alexa) Dot smart speaker which provides enhanced hands free communication with family and friends, simple drop in chat by /with relatives and much more
The Ring Doorbell 2 which allow relatives or carers to assist with door answering and ensure no unwanted callers bother an elderly person(s). The Ring doorbell works with The Amazon Echo to provide improved in-home caller notification

Care services 50plus can help you procure a broad range of Quality Care Approval Scheme or CQC approved assistance services.

Services include: personal care, companionship, shopping, housekeeping, overnight support, live in and respite care, specialist services and more.
